Knit Picks sells this yarn for $6.49, which breaks down to 5.3 cents per yard. However, they often have sales. At the time of writing this post, certain colorways were on sale for $5.19, which breaks down to 4.2 cents per yard. This may not seem like much, but it is something to keep in mind if planning a big project.

Does it have a halo?
Does it bleed?
Yes. While it didn’t seem to dull the color of the yarn after washing in hot soapy water, my water did turn a lovely shade of blue. However, I saw no bleeding when I washed a fresh swatch in a 3:1 cold water and vinegar bath.
Does it pill?
I would consider this to be a medium pilling yarn.
Does it felt?
Yes. I really liked the way it looked felted. It kept it’s vibrant color and didn’t take a ton of arm work to felt it. On that note, be aware that this yarn felts very easily so don’t agitate your project too much when washing.
Both swatches were made with 3.75 mm needles
Does it split?
I didn’t notice any issues with splitting
Is it drying?
How does it tink back?
No real problems to speak of. The yarn remained pretty smooth the first time I tinked back, but it did start to fuzz up a bit if I tinked back more than once.
How soft is it?
Sooooo soft and squishy. The wool gives it a lot of bounce and the silk makes it very smooth and soft. I loved they way this felt running over my fingers.
How lustrous is it?
I would consider this a medium luster yarn.
I really enjoy this yarn. I think I’ll try making a felted purse because I absolutely fell in love with my felted swatch.
